  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound spicy sausage, sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 cups spinach
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Red pepper flakes to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced sausage and cook until browned.
  3. Add the bell peppers, onion, and garlic. Sauté until the vegetables are tender.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine.
  5. Add the spinach and cook until wilted.
  6. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  7. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to combine everything.
  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

For extra heat, use a spicier sausage or add more red pepper flakes. Can be made vegetarian by substituting sausage.
