Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Sift together almond flour and powdered sugar.
- In a separate bowl, whip egg whites until frothy, and gradually add granulated sugar until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold dry ingredients into the meringue, avoiding overmixing.
- Transfer batter to a piping bag and pipe small circles onto baking sheets.
- Tap baking sheet to release air bubbles.
- Let macarons sit at room temperature for 30-60 minutes until a skin forms.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, until risen and “feet” form.
- Allow to cool completely before filling with buttercream or ganache.
