Ingredients

- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 8 oz pasta (farfalle or penne)
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded Parmesan or cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup fresh basil or parsley, chopped
- 8 oz mushrooms, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- In a large pot, boil salted water. Add pasta and cook until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and garlic, cooking until soft and translucent.
- Add the ground beef, breaking it apart with a wooden spatula. Cook until browned, draining excess fat if needed.
- Stir in the mushrooms and cook for about 5 minutes until softened.
- Reduce heat to low, then add cream. Stir in cheese until melted. Season with salt, pepper, and herbs.
- Add the drained pasta to the skillet. Toss until well coated with the sauce.
- Serve warm, garnished with additional cheese and fresh herbs as desired.
