- 1 cup fresh cranberries
- 1 chopped jalapeno (seeds removed)
- 2 minced garlic cloves
- 1 tsp cumin
- 2 tbsp sugar or honey
- 8 oz cream cheese or Greek yogurt
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Rinse the fresh cranberries and set aside.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté the chopped jalapeno until soft.
- Add minced garlic and cumin, stirring for another minute.
- Incorporate cranberries, sugar or honey, and cook until cranberries begin to burst (about 5-7 minutes).
- Transfer to a bowl and blend in cream cheese until smooth. Adjust seasoning as needed.
- Top with fresh cilantro and serve warm or chilled.
Notes
For extra flavor, add lime juice before serving. Make it a day ahead for best flavor.
