Description

A festive dip that combines sweet cranberries with the spicy kick of jalapenos, perfect for holiday gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • 1 chopped jalapeno (seeds removed)
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 2 tbsp sugar or honey
  • 8 oz cream cheese or Greek yogurt
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Rinse the fresh cranberries and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté the chopped jalapeno until soft.
  3. Add minced garlic and cumin, stirring for another minute.
  4. Incorporate cranberries, sugar or honey, and cook until cranberries begin to burst (about 5-7 minutes).
  5. Transfer to a bowl and blend in cream cheese until smooth. Adjust seasoning as needed.
  6. Top with fresh cilantro and serve warm or chilled.

Notes

For extra flavor, add lime juice before serving. Make it a day ahead for best flavor.
