Description
A rich and creamy butter infused with roasted garlic and fresh herbs, perfect for enhancing grilled meats and vegetables.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
- From 2–3 heads roasted garlic
- Fresh herbs (such as parsley, chives, and thyme)
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Optional: Splash of lemon juice, pinch of red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Cut the tops off garlic heads, drizzle with olive oil, wrap in foil, and roast for 30-35 minutes until tender and golden. Let cool, then squeeze out the cloves.
- In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter, roasted garlic, fresh herbs, salt, and pepper. Mash together with a fork until well blended.
- Transfer the mixture onto parchment paper or plastic wrap. Roll into a log shape, twisting the ends to secure, and refrigerate for at least an hour.
- Once chilled, slice the butter into rounds and serve over grilled meats, steamed vegetables, or spread on warm bread.
Notes
Use a food processor for a smoother texture and adjust garlic according to taste. Experiment with flavors like smoked paprika or Dijon mustard.
