Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, beat the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time and mix well.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and buttermilk until combined.
- Gradually fold in the dry ingredients without overmixing.
- Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan.
- In a saucepan, combine the chopped pecans, brown sugar, and butter over medium heat until melted and combined; pour over the batter.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Serve warm, optionally with ice cream or whipped cream.
