Description

A delightful blend of ripe peaches and buttery biscuits, perfect for creating cherished memories.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup fresh ripe peaches, diced (about 23 peaches)
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup (for drizzling)
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Wash and dice the fresh peaches, removing the pits, and set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Make a well in the center.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter and buttermilk. Pour this mixture into the well created in the flour. Mix until just combined.
  5. Gently fold the diced peaches into the biscuit dough.
  6. Using a large spoon, drop dollops of the dough into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, evenly spaced apart.
  7. Pour the remaining melted butter over the top of the biscuits.
  8. If desired, sprinkle with cinnamon.
  9. Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and the edges are bubbling.
  10. Drizzle with maple syrup upon serving and enjoy warm.

Notes

Use fresh, ripe peaches for the best flavor. These biscuits can be served as breakfast or dessert.
