- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup fresh ripe peaches, diced (about 2–3 peaches)
- 1/4 cup maple syrup (for drizzling)
- Optional: 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Wash and dice the fresh peaches, removing the pits, and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Make a well in the center.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter and buttermilk. Pour this mixture into the well created in the flour. Mix until just combined.
- Gently fold the diced peaches into the biscuit dough.
- Using a large spoon, drop dollops of the dough into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, evenly spaced apart.
- Pour the remaining melted butter over the top of the biscuits.
- If desired, sprinkle with cinnamon.
- Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and the edges are bubbling.
- Drizzle with maple syrup upon serving and enjoy warm.
Notes
Use fresh, ripe peaches for the best flavor. These biscuits can be served as breakfast or dessert.
