Description

A quick and easy one-pan pasta dish featuring Italian sausage, creamy sauce, and fresh spinach.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces penne pasta
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound Italian sausage, casings removed
  • 3 cups baby spinach
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the Italian sausage and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  2. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Stir in the penne pasta and add enough water to cover the pasta. Bring to a boil and cook until the pasta is al dente.
  4. Reduce the heat and add the heavy cream and baby spinach. Stir until the spinach wilts.
  5. Mix in the grated Parmesan cheese and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil.

Notes

For extra flavor, use spicy Italian sausage. You can add other vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms for variety.
