- 1 pound frozen meatballs
- 8 ounces penne or rotini pasta
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups hot water
- Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and garlic over medium heat. Add sliced mushrooms, cooking until softened.
- In a large casserole dish, mix frozen meatballs, uncooked pasta, sautéed mushrooms, and marinara sauce until well-coated.
- Pour in about 2 cups of hot water and stir gently.
- Top the mixture with shredded cheese.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for about 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and melted.
- Allow to sit for 5-10 minutes before serving.
Notes
Use high-quality marinara sauce for the best flavor. Experiment with different cheese blends for added complexity.
