Description

A delightful recipe for Juicy Italian Meatballs, perfect for family gatherings and bursting with flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 cup Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Black pepper (to taste)
  • Red pepper flakes (to taste)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 cups marinara sauce

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine both types of ground meat with breadcrumbs, grated cheese, chopped herbs, minced garlic, chopped onion, eggs, and preferred seasoning. Mix gently until combined.
  2. Wet your hands, scoop out the mixture, and roll it into meatballs about 1.5 inches in diameter. Place them on a parchment-lined tray.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat and sear the meatballs until golden brown on all sides.
  4. Add the marinara sauce to the skillet, covering the meatballs, and reduce the heat to simmer for 30 minutes.
  5. Serve immediately over spaghetti or as an appetizer with toothpicks.

Notes

Avoid overmixing the meatball mixture to keep them tender. You can use leaner meats like turkey if preferred.
