Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped nuts (almonds, pecans, or walnuts)
- Sea salt to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and stir in granulated sugar and brown sugar until dissolved.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring continuously for 3-4 minutes until golden amber in color.
- Pour the toffee onto the prepared baking sheet and let it cool for a few minutes.
- Melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in 30-second increments until smooth, then pour it over the toffee.
- Sprinkle the chopped nuts on top and dust with sea salt.
- Allow the bark to cool completely at room temperature or in the refrigerator before breaking into pieces.
Notes
Patience is key; let the bark set properly for a crispy texture. Also, watch the cooking time carefully to avoid burning the toffee.
