- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sharp cheddar, shredded
- 1/4 cup Parmesan, grated
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cubed
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 2–4 tbsp water
- 1–2 tsp optional herbs (your choice)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine flour and sea salt. Add cubed cold butter and rub it into the flour until sandy.
- Mix in the shredded cheddar and grated Parmesan until evenly distributed.
- Gradually add water, one tablespoon at a time, until a dough forms.
- Roll the dough between two sheets of parchment paper into a thin layer (about 1/8 inch thick).
- Slice the dough into squares or desired shapes and transfer to the baking sheet.
- If desired, sprinkle herbs or cheese on top before baking.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown. Allow to cool before serving.
