Description

Delicious homemade cheese crackers that are crispy, cheesy, and easy to make, perfect for snacks or gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar, shredded
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan, grated
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cubed
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 24 tbsp water
  • 12 tsp optional herbs (your choice)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour and sea salt. Add cubed cold butter and rub it into the flour until sandy.
  3. Mix in the shredded cheddar and grated Parmesan until evenly distributed.
  4. Gradually add water, one tablespoon at a time, until a dough forms.
  5. Roll the dough between two sheets of parchment paper into a thin layer (about 1/8 inch thick).
  6. Slice the dough into squares or desired shapes and transfer to the baking sheet.
  7. If desired, sprinkle herbs or cheese on top before baking.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown. Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

Customize the cheese blend to suit your taste, and ensure not to overbake to maintain the perfect texture.
