- 2 ounces sweet or dry vermouth
- 4 ounces sparkling water
- Ice

Instructions
- Juice one grapefruit half and slice the other half into wedges for garnish.
- In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the grapefruit juice and vermouth (and simple syrup if desired).
- Shake well to blend the ingredients.
- Fill a glass with ice and strain the mixture into the glass.
- Top off the drink with sparkling water.

Notes
For an alternative, you can use orange or blood orange instead of grapefruit. Flavored sparkling water can add an exciting twist.
