A rich and creamy pasta dish with tender chicken, infused with garlic and Parmesan flavors, perfect for family dinners.
Ingredients

- 8 oz fettuccine or spaghetti
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- 1 tsp Italian herbs (basil and oregano)
Instructions
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken for 6-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove chicken from skillet and let it rest.
- In the same skillet, lower the heat and sauté minced garlic for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream and let it simmer until slightly thickened.
- Stir in grated Parmesan and Italian herbs, mixing thoroughly. Gradually add reserved pasta water until desired consistency is achieved.
- Slice chicken and mix with pasta and sauce until everything is well coated. Plate the dish and sprinkle with additional Parmesan and cracked black pepper before serving.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream. Add spinach or broccoli for extra nutrition.
