- 8 oz Cream Cheese (or Mascarpone)
- 1/4 cup Fresh Herbs (Basil, Parsley)
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 cup Mushrooms, chopped (Button or Cremini)
- 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a skillet, add a tablespoon of olive oil and heat over medium. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add chopped mushrooms. Cook until golden brown and most of the moisture has evaporated, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
- In a large bowl, mix the cream cheese (or mascarpone) until smooth. Fold in the sautéed garlic and mushrooms, herbs, and lemon juice.
- Taste and adjust salt, pepper, or lemon juice as desired.
- Transfer to a serving bowl and sprinkle with extra herbs or grated cheese on top for added flair.
Notes
Serve warm or at room temperature with vegetables, toasted baguette slices, or crackers.
