Description

A delightful dish of roasted pears filled with creamy blue cheese, crunchy walnuts, and a drizzle of honey, perfect as an appetizer or side.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ripe pears (Bosc or Anjou)
  • 100g blue cheese, crumbled
  • 50g walnuts, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • Fresh herbs (thyme or rosemary) for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Wash and slice the pears in half lengthwise, scooping out the core.
  3. In a bowl, mix the blue cheese and walnuts, then drizzle in honey and stir until combined.
  4. Spoon the mixture into the pear halves.
  5. Drizzle olive oil and honey over the pears and place them in a baking dish.
  6. Roast for 25 to 30 minutes until tender and golden brown.
  7. Let cool slightly before drizzling with additional honey and garnishing with herbs.

Notes

Use ripe but firm pears for best texture and consider adding balsamic glaze or chili flakes for extra flavor.
