Description
A fun twist on the classic hot dog, wrapped in flaky crescent roll dough for a playful mummy appearance.
Ingredients
- Hot dogs (beef, chicken, turkey, or plant-based)
- Crescent roll dough
- Mustard or ketchup (for dipping)
- Sliced olives or small pieces of dough (for eyes)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to the temperature indicated on the crescent roll dough packaging, typically around 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare your baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough while keeping the triangles intact. Optionally cut the dough strips thinner for a more delicate wrap.
- Wrap the hot dogs, starting at one end and creating gaps for the ‘bandage’ effect.
- Add small pieces of olive or dough where you want the eyes to be.
- Bake according to the package instructions, usually 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Serve with your favorite condiments for dipping.
Notes
For added crunch, consider broiling for the last minute of baking, but watch closely to avoid burning. Serve with colorful dips and fresh veggies for a balanced meal.
