- 2 cups sautéed button or cremini mushrooms
- 2 cups Alfredo sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or cheese blend)
- Freshly chopped parsley or basil for garnish
- 2 cloves minced garlic
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve one cup of pasta water before draining.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef, seasoning with salt and pepper for 5-7 minutes.
- Add the mushrooms and minced garlic, sautéing until the mushrooms are tender and the garlic is fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.
- Pour in the Alfredo sauce, stirring to combine with the beef and mushrooms. Thin with reserved pasta water as needed.
- Add the drained pasta, tossing to coat in the sauce. Adjust the consistency with more pasta water if necessary.
- Stir in the shredded cheese until melted and creamy. Adjust seasonings to taste.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs and extra cheese if desired.
