Ingredients
- Lasagna noodles (fresh, no-boil, or traditional dried)

- Mushrooms (cremini or button)
- Ricotta cheese
- Mozzarella cheese
- Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil

- Garlic
- Red pepper flakes

Instructions
- In a skillet, sauté finely chopped onions, garlic, and mushrooms in olive oil. Add ground meat and cook until browned, then mix in tomato sauce and let it simmer.
- In a saucepan, melt butter and whisk in flour to create a roux. Gradually add milk while stirring until thickened, then season with salt, nutmeg, and a bit of cheese.
- Grease a baking dish and start with a layer of meat sauce, followed by noodles, dollops of ricotta, a sprinkle of mozzarella, and béchamel. Repeat until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of cheese.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 30-40 minutes until the top is golden and bubbling.
- Let the lasagna cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing to enhance flavors.
Notes
