Easy Homemade Monkey Bread with Cinnamon and Walnuts

Description

A delightful, pull-apart dessert that combines sweet dough with cinnamon and crunchy walnuts, perfect for family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 cans refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • ½ cup brown sugar (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • A dash of nutmeg (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a bundt pan generously with non-stick spray or butter.
  3. Cut each biscuit into quarters.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the granulated sugar and cinnamon. Toss the dough pieces in this mixture until evenly coated.
  5. Layer the dough pieces in the bundt pan and sprinkle half of the chopped walnuts in between the layers.
  6. Pour the melted butter over the assembled dough and nut layers.
  7. Add the remaining dough pieces on top and sprinkle with the rest of the walnuts.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and inside is cooked through.
  9. Let it cool for a few minutes before inverting onto a serving plate. Serve warm.

Notes

For a glaze, mix powdered sugar and milk and drizzle over the warm monkey bread.
