- 2 cups granulated sugar

- 1 cup chocolate chips (optional)
- Candy eyes for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×9 inch baking pan or line with parchment paper.
- Melt butter in a medium saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in sugar until smooth.
- Add cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
- Beat in eggs one at a time.
- Gently fold in the flour. If using chocolate chips, fold them in now.
- Spread the mixture into the prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until the top is shiny and slightly crackled.
- Cool, cut into squares, and top with candy eyes.
