- 1 lb Beef Flank Steak
- 2 Bell Peppers (red, yellow, and green)
- 1 Onion (sweet or yellow)
- 1/4 cup Soy Sauce
- 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
- 1 inch Ginger (fresh, minced)
- 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
- 1 tbsp Cornstarch
- 1 tsp Pepper Flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Slice the flank steak against the grain into thin strips.
- In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, minced garlic, and minced ginger. Add the beef and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat a large skillet or wok over high heat and add sesame oil.
- Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add more oil if necessary and sauté the onions and bell peppers for 3-5 minutes until they start to soften.
- Return the beef to the skillet, mix in the remaining marinade and cornstarch mixed with water, and stir until sauce thickens, about 2 minutes.
- Serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
Notes
Adjust the pepper flakes for a desired level of heat. Serve over white rice for a complete meal.
