Description
A flavorful combination of sesame and soy infused into tender turkey, perfect for family gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3–4 lbs Turkey Breast
- 1/2 cup Soy Sauce (low-sodium recommended)
- 1/4 cup Toasted Sesame Oil
- 1/4 cup Honey or Brown Sugar
- 4 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Fresh Ginger, grated
- 2 tablespoons Sesame Seeds, for topping
- 2 Scallions, chopped, for garnish
- 1 cup Mushrooms (optional, button or shiitake)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Immerse the turkey breast in the marinade. Let it sit for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight, in the refrigerator.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare a roasting pan and add sliced mushrooms to the bottom.
- Place the marinated turkey breast in the pan, pouring some marinade over the top. Roast for about 1 to 1.5 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Baste the turkey every 30 minutes.
- Once cooked, let the turkey rest for about 15 minutes before slicing. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and scallions to finish.
Notes
For best results, let the turkey marinate overnight. Use a meat thermometer for perfect doneness.
