Description

A comforting loaf filled with sharp cheddar and creamy mozzarella, perfect for gatherings or casual dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of sourdough or rustic bread
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley or basil, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the bread into thick pieces without cutting all the way through.
  3. In a bowl, mix the shredded cheddar, mozzarella, minced garlic, butter, and chopped herbs.
  4. Stuff the cheese mixture into each slice of bread.
  5. Wrap the loaf in aluminum foil tightly.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes, then unwrap and bake for an additional 10 minutes until cheese is bubbly and crust is golden.
  7. Serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes to the cheese mixture.
