- 1 loaf of sourdough or rustic bread
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley or basil, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice the bread into thick pieces without cutting all the way through.
- In a bowl, mix the shredded cheddar, mozzarella, minced garlic, butter, and chopped herbs.
- Stuff the cheese mixture into each slice of bread.
- Wrap the loaf in aluminum foil tightly.
- Bake for 20 minutes, then unwrap and bake for an additional 10 minutes until cheese is bubbly and crust is golden.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes to the cheese mixture.
