A vibrant and crunchy taco salad featuring Doritos, seasoned beef, fresh vegetables, and creamy dressing.
Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 4 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
- 2 medium tomatoes, diced
- 1 avocado, sliced or cubed
- 2 cups Doritos, crushed
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ¼ to ½ cup taco dressing or ranch dressing
- 1 can kidney beans (optional)
- Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, sauté ground beef until brown. Add taco seasoning and cook according to package directions. Let cool slightly.
- Chop romaine lettuce, dice tomatoes, and slice avocado. Chop green onions.
- In a large mixing bowl, layer romaine as the foundation. Add ground beef, followed by tomatoes and kidney beans if using. Top with cheddar cheese and avocado.
- Drizzle dressing over the salad and gently toss to combine.
- Right before serving, add crushed Doritos to the top. Serve immediately.
Notes
For a lighter option, substitute ground turkey or chicken. Store leftovers in the fridge without Doritos.
