Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups shredded chicken
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- 1 cup queso fresco or shredded Monterey Jack
- Tortillas (corn or flour)
- Vegetable or canola oil for frying

Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine shredded chicken with spices, cheese, and a splash of lime juice until well mixed.
- Warm the tortillas slightly to make them pliable. Place about two tablespoons of filling at the edge of each tortilla and roll tightly. Secure with a toothpick if necessary.

- Remove the flautas from oil and let them rest on paper towels to absorb excess oil. Serve hot with your favorite toppings.
Notes
