Description

Delicious, crunchy crackers infused with sharp cheddar, creamy mozzarella, and fragrant Italian herbs.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme, basil)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup softened butter
  • 23 tablespoons cold water
  • Optional: garlic powder, crushed red pepper flakes, sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, cheddar, mozzarella, herbs, salt, and butter. Mix until crumbly.
  3. Slowly add cold water one tablespoon at a time until the dough comes together.
  4. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to ¼-inch thick and cut into desired shapes.
  5. Transfer to the baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Allow to cool on a wire rack before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, sprinkle additional salt on top before baking. Use dried herbs if fresh ones aren’t available, adjusting quantities as needed.
