- 1 cup feta cheese, crumbled
- 1/2 cup hot honey
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko)
- 2 eggs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried oregano or thyme
- Olive oil for sautéing
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
- In one bowl, beat the eggs with a pinch of salt.
- In another bowl, combine breadcrumbs, crumbled feta, garlic powder, and your chosen herbs.
- Dip each chicken breast into the egg mixture, allowing excess to drip off, then coat with the breadcrumb-feta mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat with olive oil and sauté the chicken for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Transfer the chicken to the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes until fully cooked (165°F internally).
- Drizzle hot honey over the chicken right before serving.
