Description

A heartwarming blend of tender meatballs, creamy broth, and chewy egg noodles, perfect for cozy gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 pound ground pork
  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, ground pork, minced garlic, diced onion, allspice, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Form into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add meatballs in batches, browning on all sides. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add sliced mushrooms and sauté until golden. Add more onions if needed, cooking until translucent.
  4. Pour in beef broth and bring to a gentle simmer. Add heavy cream for creaminess.
  5. Gently return browned meatballs to the skillet and let simmer on low heat for 15-20 minutes.
  6. Cook egg noodles according to package instructions in a separate pot. Drain and toss with olive oil.
  7. In serving bowls, place a generous amount of noodles, ladle the soup over, and garnish with parsley.

Notes

Ensure not to overcook the noodles; they should be al dente before adding them to the soup. For the best flavor, season at every step.
