- 12 ounces spaghetti or fettuccine
- 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 cups vegetable or chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Sautéed mushrooms, spinach, or kale (optional)
- Fresh herbs (basil or parsley) for garnish
Instructions
- Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add 3 minced garlic cloves and sauté until fragrant (1-2 minutes).
- Stir in 12 ounces of your choice of pasta and 4 cups of broth. Bring to a boil, then lower the heat to a simmer.
- Cook the pasta for 9-11 minutes until al dente, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in 1 cup of heavy cream and 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add optional sautéed vegetables and fresh herbs to serve.
Notes
For added flavor, consider incorporating sautéed mushrooms or spinach during the cooking process. Use pasta water to enhance the sauce’s creaminess.
