- 8 ounces fettuccine or penne pasta
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 4 strips of bacon
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 ounces button or cremini mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- Fresh or dried herbs (like parsley or thyme), to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot, boil salted water and add your pasta. Cook until al dente, following package instructions. Reserve a cup of pasta water before draining.
- In a large skillet, over medium heat, cook bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels, leaving a little grease in the pan.
- Season chicken pieces with salt and pepper. Add to the skillet, cooking until golden brown and cooked through. Remove chicken and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sliced mushrooms. Sauté until mushrooms are tender. Then, add cream cheese and chicken broth. Stir well to combine and create a creamy sauce.
- Return the chicken and bacon to the skillet. Add the cooked pasta and toss everything together. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.
- Finish off with herbs, adjusting salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot, perhaps with a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese.

Use high-quality ingredients for the best flavor. Don’t overcrowd the pan when sautéing chicken to ensure it browns nicely.
