Ingredients
1 lb ground turkey
1 cup fresh or dried cranberries
1 cup sautéed mushrooms (shiitake or cremini)
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp butter or olive oil
1.5 cups breadcrumbs or cubed day-old bread
2 eggs
2 tbsp chopped fresh herbs (sage, thyme, or rosemary)
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Sauté onion, garlic, and mushrooms in butter until soft.
3. In a bowl, combine turkey, sautéed mix, cranberries, breadcrumbs, herbs, and eggs.
4. Mix gently until evenly combined.
5. Form mixture into golf ball-sized balls.
6. Place on greased baking sheet.
7. Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden and cooked through.
8. Let rest a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Use dried cranberries for a sweeter profile.
Substitute turkey with ground chicken if desired.
