Description
Cranberry Brie Bites are a delightful holiday appetizer with a rich blend of sweet cranberries and creamy brie, all encased in flaky pastry.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- 8 ounces of brie cheese, rinded
- 1 cup cranberry sauce
- ½ cup walnuts or pecans, chopped (optional)
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Fresh thyme, to garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into squares (about 3×3 inches).
- Place a small piece of brie in the center of each square, add a spoonful of cranberry sauce, and sprinkle with chopped nuts if using.
- Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling and pinch to seal. Brush with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake on the prepared baking sheet for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Let them cool slightly and garnish with fresh thyme before serving. Enjoy!
Notes
Ensure to leave space between each bite on the baking sheet for even cooking. For extra flavor, consider adding a pinch of black pepper to the cranberry mixture.
