Description

A comforting dessert made from day-old cinnamon rolls, soaked in a creamy custard and baked to perfection.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 810 cinnamon rolls (preferably day-old)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk (or a dairy-free alternative)
  • 1 cup heavy cream (optional)
  • 1 cup sugar (brown sugar works well)
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the cinnamon rolls into bite-sized pieces and arrange in a greased baking dish.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, cream (if using), sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt until combined.
  4. Pour the custard over the cinnamon rolls, pressing down gently. Let sit for 10-15 minutes.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For added crunch, sprinkle chopped pecans or walnuts on top before baking. Serve warm with powdered sugar, caramel sauce, or whipped cream.
