  • 1/2 cup cream

  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Herbs (rosemary or thyme) for garnish
  • Parmesan cheese, for serving

Instructions

  1. Chop the broccoli into bite-sized pieces, mince the garlic, and finely dice the onion.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Cook the chicken sausage until browned and cooked through.
  3. Add the onion and garlic, stirring until fragrant (about 2-3 minutes).
  4. Add the broccoli and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until slightly tender.
  5. Stir in the orzo and pour in the chicken broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until the orzo is al dente (about 10-12 minutes).
  6. Stir in the cream and season with salt, pepper, and herbs.
  7. Serve warm topped with freshly grated Parmesan and extra herbs.

Notes

For a lighter option, substitute cream with white wine or lower-fat alternatives. Adjust the amount of broth for desired creaminess.
