Chicken Mozzarella Pasta

Description

A creamy and comforting Italian pasta dish with tender chicken and melting mozzarella cheese.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 250g chicken breast, cubed
  • 200g mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 350g penne pasta
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Fresh herbs (basil, oregano) for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1 cup of pasta cooking water.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté chicken until golden and fully cooked. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream, stirring constantly, and simmer until slightly thickened.
  4. Add cooked chicken back to the skillet, followed by the pasta. Stir in the shredded mozzarella, using reserved pasta water to reach desired sauce consistency.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.

Notes

Use whole-grain pasta and add vegetables for added fiber and vitamins. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
