- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
- 4–6 soft sandwich buns or crusty rolls
- Olive oil for cooking
- Herb seasonings (like thyme or basil)
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add a drizzle of olive oil. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Add sliced mushrooms and cook until softened, approximately 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in the cooked shredded chicken, followed by heavy cream and butter. Mix well until combined.
- Gradually sprinkle in Parmesan cheese, stirring continuously until sauce thickens, about 5 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, and add any optional herbs.
- Toast buns lightly on a skillet or broiler until golden brown.
- Scoop the Chicken Alfredo mixture onto the bottom half of each bun. Top with the other half and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
Use high-quality rotisserie chicken for the best flavor. Customize thickness of sauce to your preference.
