  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: diced vegetables (bell peppers or mushrooms)
  • Olive oil (for sautéing)

Instructions

  1. Boil water in a large pot with a pinch of salt. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté the diced onion and minced garlic until fragrant. Add ground beef and brown until fully cooked.
  3. Pour in tomato sauce and beef broth. Stir in herbs, salt, and pepper. Let simmer for about 15 minutes.
  4. In a large bowl, combine cooked pasta and beef sauce, stirring to coat the pasta.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
