Ingredients
- Babybel cheese (regular or light)
- Breadcrumbs (panko for extra crunch)
- Cooking spray
- Optional spices (garlic powder, paprika, Italian herbs)
Instructions
- Remove the wax from the Babybel cheese and set the cheese rounds aside.
- Prepare a dipping station: in one bowl, place the breadcrumbs mixed with your chosen spices, and in another, set a whisked egg or non-dairy alternative.
- Dip each Babybel round first into the egg mixture, ensuring they’re fully coated, then into the breadcrumb blend. Press gently for an even coating.
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Spray the basket lightly with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Arrange the breaded Babybels in a single layer inside the fryer. Make sure they aren’t touching to allow even cooking.
- Cook for about 6-8 minutes, flipping halfway through until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove carefully with tongs and let cool for a couple of minutes before serving.
Notes
For an extra crunchy exterior, consider double-dipping your Babybel in the egg and breadcrumbs.
