Description

A comforting and easy one-pot pasta dish featuring creamy garlic sauce and earthy mushrooms.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz Pasta (spaghetti or fettuccine)
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 8 oz Mushrooms (cremini or shiitake), sliced
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese, finely grated
  • 2 tbsp Unsalted Butter
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Herbs (parsley or basil), chopped
  • Salt & Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until golden, then add mushrooms and cook until they release juices.
  2. Add pasta directly to the skillet and pour in enough water to cover the pasta. Season with salt.
  3. As water begins to boil, lower the heat, stir in heavy cream and half of the grated Parmesan.
  4. Simmer gently, stirring occasionally until pasta is cooked to preference and sauce reaches desired consistency.
  5. Off the heat, stir in remaining Parmesan and fresh herbs. Adjust seasoning and serve immediately.

Notes

Reserve a little pasta water to adjust the sauce’s thickness if needed.
