These Crispy Baked Salmon Sushi Cups combine rich, buttery salmon with the perfect crunch of crispy nori, creating a delightful fusion of flavors and textures.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup sushi rice
  • 1 cup fresh salmon, finely chopped
  • 4 nori sheets, cut into quarters
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cream cheese
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • A pinch of salt
  • Olive oil, for brushing
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Rinse sushi rice under cold water until water runs clear and cook according to package instructions. Mix in rice vinegar, sugar, and salt after cooling slightly.
  2. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix chopped salmon with soy sauce, cream cheese, and green onions.
  3. Brush nori sheets with olive oil, press into muffin tins to form cups.
  4. Spoon sushi rice into nori cups, pressing down gently. Fill with salmon mixture.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes until nori edges are crispy and lightly browned.
  6. Garnish with sesame seeds and additional green onions. Serve warm with soy sauce or wasabi mayo.

Notes

Ensure the rice is warm before assembling for better stickiness. Don’t overload the cups for perfect crunch.
