A quick and easy recipe for crispy flatbread infused with roasted garlic and fresh herbs, perfect for any meal.

- 2 cups all-purpose flour (or whole-wheat/gluten-free flour)
- 1 packet instant dry yeast
- 3–4 cloves fresh garlic
- 1 cup room temperature water
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (plus extra for brushing)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Optional: fresh herbs (thyme, rosemary, oregano, parsley)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix warm water with the instant yeast and let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Create a well, pour in the yeast mixture and 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Stir until a dough forms, adding more flour if sticky.
- Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for 5–7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes or until doubled in size.
- While rising, roast the garlic in a small pan with olive oil until soft, then mash it into a paste.
- Once risen, punch down the dough, roll it out, and spread the roasted garlic on top. Fold and shape again.
- Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C), brush the basket with olive oil, place the flatbread, and cook for 8-10 minutes until golden.
- Once done, brush with olive oil, sprinkle with sea salt and herbs, cut into pieces, and serve immediately.
Notes
For added flavor, experiment with infused oils and toppings like cheese or vegetables.
