Ingredients
2 boneless skinless chicken breasts 🍗, cut into strips
2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning 🌶️
1 tablespoon olive oil 🫒
3 cloves garlic, minced 🧄
1 small onion, diced 🧅
1 bell pepper, sliced (red or yellow) 🫑
8 oz pasta (penne or fettuccine) 🍝
1 ½ cups heavy cream 🥛
½ cup chicken broth 🥣
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese 🧀
Salt and 🫙 pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish 🌱
Instructions
Cook pasta according to package instructions. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
Toss chicken strips with Cajun seasoning. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook chicken until golden and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, sauté garlic, onion, and bell pepper until soft and fragrant.
Add heavy cream and chicken broth. Simmer 3–4 minutes, then stir in Parmesan until creamy.
Return pasta and chicken to the skillet. Toss to coat, adding pasta water if needed to adjust consistency.
Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley. 🌱
Notes
Adjust Cajun seasoning for spice preference.
Add spinach, mushrooms, or sun-dried tomatoes for extra flavor.
For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
Works with shrimp instead of chicken for a seafood twist.
