Craving a warm, comforting dinner? How about a cheesy meatloaf twist baked into tender pasta shells?

Ingredients:
β€’ 1 lb ground beef πŸ₯©
β€’ 1 cup breadcrumbs 🍞
β€’ 1 egg πŸ₯š
β€’ 1 small onion, finely chopped πŸ§…
β€’ 2 cloves garlic, minced πŸ§„
β€’ 1 cup tomato sauce πŸ…
β€’ 2 cups medium pasta shells 🍝
β€’ 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese πŸ§€
β€’ 1 cup milk πŸ₯›
β€’ 2 tbsp butter 🧈
β€’ 2 tbsp all-purpose flour 🌾
β€’ 1 tsp Italian seasoning 🌿
β€’ Salt & pepper to taste πŸ«™
β€’ Fresh parsley, chopped 🌱 (for garnish)

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C). Lightly grease a 9×13″ baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, Β½ cup tomato sauce, salt, and pepper. Shape into small meatballs and bake for 20 min.
  3. Meanwhile, cook pasta shells in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  4. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook 1 min. Slowly add milk, whisking until smooth. Stir in 1 Β½ cups cheddar, Italian seasoning, salt & pepper.
  5. Combine pasta, cheese sauce, and meatballs in the baking dish. Pour remaining tomato sauce on top and sprinkle with the rest of the cheddar.
  6. Bake for 20 min until bubbly and golden. Garnish with parsley and serve warm!
